These platforms aimed to replace them with a bottom-up, learner-led experience that draws from an array of content sources. The definition of an LXP has shifted across the years, with characteristics hard to define and differentiate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Which has left many <a href=\"https:\/\/novoed.com\/resources\/webinars\/the-lx-xignature-the-radically-changing-role-of-ld-professionals\/\">L&amp;D professionals<\/a> wondering: What is a learning experience platform? How does it differ from a learning management system? Can the two work together in harmony? Users can tailor the workflow to suit their needs while staying connected to their peers and educators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Both <a href=\"https:\/\/joshbersin.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/06\/LXPvsLMS.jpg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">learning management systems and learning experience platforms<\/a> strive to improve learning by making it faster, more streamlined, more accessible, more trackable, and more scalable.
